Policies and Guidelines

1.There is a non-refundable deposit required when placing an order, which will be applied to the final

balance of your order. Your order is not secured until the deposit is received at

least 2 weeks prior to the event/delivery/pickup date. The balance of the order is due 1 week prior to

the event date. Cancellations must be made 1 week prior to the event/occasion date. A refund minus

the deposit & any items purchased or made specifically, for your order will be given, if the order has

been paid in full. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason. If you must change your date, we

are not obligated to accept a date change if we are booked for the new date or are unavailable.

2. If you are having an outside event, please note if your cake is placed outside, Dion’s

Delicious Delights, is not responsible for damages such as melting, bug infestation, or other damaging

things preventing safe consumption. Please ensure that cake and dessert items are not placed

directly in the sun, and that inside room temperatures are below 70 degrees to ensure the

cake/desserts will not melt. A request to repair a cake, due to no fault of Dion’s Delicious Delights

after setup is complete and we have departed, will not be granted.

Delivery Delays

3. Although we strive to deliver orders in a timely, professional manner as agreed upon, at

times there may be incidents beyond our control that could delay delivery. If such an event

occurs, we will contact you immediately and waive the delivery fee. This also includes you or

your representative having to pick up your order. There will be a 15-minute grace period (after the

initial pick-up time stated on the invoice), at that time, the individual must come to Dion’s Delicious

Delights physical site, and pick up their order, or pay an additional $25 for Dion’s

Delicious Delights to wait an additional 15 minutes. Being cognizant of others’ time is extremely

important, please be considerate and communicate any changes or delays immediately should you

run late or behind.

Refund Policy

4. We take great care in creating each dessert with the highest quality ingredients, support

items, and decorations. Refunds will not be issued if a customer or the customer’s guest dislikes the

flavor or appearance of a dessert. This includes, but not limited to differences in taste, texture, color,

or design. Every order is quality tested before completion to ensure we bring you a satisfactory

product. Once a product leaves our possession and/or set up is complete, we are no longer

responsible for damages, care, or mishandling that may incur. All sales are final.

5. DO NOT smash cakes or other treats into anyone's face due to the stiffness of the

buttercream and supports within the items. We are NOT responsible for bodily harm or injury caused

by such acts. We are not responsible if a burn cake does not burn to the customer’s liking or

expectation. We are also not liable for any fire hazards, injuries, damages, or loss that may occur to

individuals, venues, or property as a result of use.

6. In the event of a natural disaster, nation-wide or, state of emergency preventing the customer

from receiving the order, whether it is for delivery or pick-up, a 100% credit will be transferred to a

future order occurring within 3 months (90 days) of the original order due date. There is no penalty or

extra fees unless there is a desire to upgrade or increase of the original products paid for.

7. In the event of the death of the customer/client, all monies will be refunded minus

the deposit, item purchase fee, fees within 3 business days. In case of death of the owner of Dion’s

Delicious Delights, all monies will be refunded within 7 days of her or his death by an authorized

representative.

Color(s) and Photography

8. We will attempt to match the colors chosen but when dealing with food there may be a

slight color variance. It will be our best effort to complete the color palette you have chosen.

We are not responsible for color changes that may occur after the preparation of the food item

which is part of the natural age progression of flavors and dyes. We will not copy another

artist’s work exactly but will use it as inspiration to give you your own unique item(s).

9. Dion’s Delicious Delights retains the rights to share photographs of orders for advertising

and networking purposes. *Photos will not be posted until AFTER the order has been

shown to the customer, picked up, and/or delivered. If the items ordered are a surprise, please make

us aware and we will delay posting until after the event time.

Allergen & Safety Policy

10. Products may contain or come into contact with milk, eggs, wheat, nuts, soy, cocoa, or

other allergens. Dion’s Delicious Delights is not responsible for any allergic reactions

or medical conditions resulting from our products. It is the sole responsibility of the customer

to advise us of any allergies and to inform their guests that the dessert products may contain or come

into contact with milk, eggs, wheat, nuts, soy, cocoa, or other allergens. By purchasing and consuming

our products, you acknowledge and accept that we are not responsible for any physical, mental, or

financial harm that may result, including death.

11. If fresh flowers will be used on the cake from a florist (of your choosing), it is the

responsibility of the florist to determine the safety of the flowers used. Not all fresh flowers

are food products and should not be treated as such. Fresh flowers will not be provided by

Dion’s Delicious Delights unless discussed during the consultation. You waive the rights to

compensation if illness or other occur from floral products. Dion’s Delicious Delights will do

their best to wrap and protect the florals from direct contact with the cake itself.

12. Under no circumstance will DISCO DUST, LUSTER DUST, OR GLITTER be used on

food items to be consumed unless it is labeled EDIBLE or FDA APPROVED. Sanding sugar, edible

pearls, and sparkle dust that are labeled EDIBLE can be used. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. We take your

health and safety very seriously.

Payment Method & Agreement

13. Payment is accepted in the form of, Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, Square, this applies to ALL

Orders. NO CHECKS or CASH Payments will be accepted. All invoices are sent via Square Invoice. We

do not keep nor store any forms of payment methods on file such as debit or credit cards.

By submitting payment (deposit and/or full payment) for any invoice,

you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the

terms and conditions outlined in the dessert contract.
